Our Story

About Riivster

A father-son mission to give every Pokemon card a second life.

How It Started

Riivster started with a simple moment — a 7-year-old boy and his dad sorting through a shoebox of Pokemon cards on the living room floor. Some were treasures. Most were duplicates. All of them deserved better than collecting dust.

We realized millions of families have the same shoebox. Kids outgrow their collections. Parents don't know what they're worth. And meanwhile, other kids are just getting into Pokemon and can't afford $5 booster packs.

So we built Riivster — a community-powered card recycling program that buys collections from families, partners with schools for card drives, and turns those cards into affordable, curated packs for the next generation of trainers.

Every card that comes through Riivster gets sorted, graded, and given new purpose. Valuable singles go to collectors who appreciate them. The rest becomes starter packs, mystery bundles, and monthly subscriptions that make Pokemon accessible to every kid.

Our Values

What we believe and how we operate. Every decision we make comes back to these three principles.

🔍

Transparency

We publish our pricing. We record every unboxing. What you see is what you get.

🤝

Community

We partner with schools, donate to children's hospitals, and believe cards should bring people together.

♻️

Sustainability

75 billion Pokemon cards exist. We'd rather recycle them than let them rot in a landfill.
